Gravity Booth
Looking for a classic and unique touch of charm? This photo booth is perfect for all formal events. The Gravity Booth is one of our special creations to combine professional photography and photo booth technology. Instead of goofy props, silly poses, and a 2x6 inch strip, the Gravity Booth is a more formal booth. A professional photographer with a professional DSLR camera and 2 photographic strobes will pose each guest in a classic pose that you might have experienced at your high school's prom. After the photo session, each person will receive a 4x6 print in either color or black & white with either a custom footer, boarder, or both depending on the host's event. The Gravity Booth is also a perfect complement to any of our other photo booths. So while guests are at one photo booth making silly faces and wearing props, other guests can walk over to the Gravity Booth for a more elegant anestric professional image.
Behind the creative name
Gravity is the force by which a plant or other body draws objects towards its center. This force is what holds the planets and other celestial bodies in the universe. Anything that has mass, no matter how small or large, also has gravity. This is what keeps us mounted and not floating into outer space. Gravity also gets weaker with distance. The closer an object is the stronger its gravitational pull is and vise versa. This also effects the weight someone weights. So if a person weights 100 lbs (45.4kg) on Earth, that same person will weight 17 lbs (7.7 kg) on the moon or even 253 lbs (114.8 kg) on Jupiter. While the story of Sir Isaac Newton discovering gravity by sitting under an apple tree hitting is head is a classic fable, it demonstrates the forces of gravity in our everyday world and what holds the universe together.
Just like in photography, gravity is important to have a stable foundation for posing subjects. One of the most important lessons all photographers learn in portrait class is the positioning of the feet to be anchored to the ground. This will create stability to then pose the rest of the body. Without a stable foundation, the subject will fall over due to gravity. Hense the name Gravity Booth. |
